Greetings 15th Med Members,
The 2010 Reunion will be here shortly. It is April 15-18 in Boise, Idaho. You can
view the Reunion information by clicking on Current Reunion Info button on the 2nd
Index page of our website. There will be many members attending this Reunion who
have never been to any of the pass Reunions. There are a few members who will not
be able to attend this reunion due to personal reasons who are the regulars that
attend the Reunions. I know those in attendance will miss those who regularly attend.
The picture below shows the year and location of all the previous Reunions.

Reunion Pictures - Currently the Reunion pictures that are posted on the website
are years 2000, 2004, 2006 and 2007. I do have some pictures for years 2003,
2005, 2008 and 2009. They will soon be posted, but are not as complete as current
years posted. We do not have any pictures for years 1998, 1999, 2001 and 2002. I
as Webmaster am working posting all the available pictures in my possession. If
there are any members who have pictures of any reunion from 1998 to 2009 please
send them to me in .jpg format to my email: gunnermadmur@neo.rr.com.

Vietnam Documents - Years 1965 to 1968 have been posted on the website.
The documents we do have are only about 5% to 10% of the possible documents to
get. I just recently posted 211 Award documents from the 2nd half of 1968 and 1969.
These Award documents are not complete either. I have spoken with our Historian
Paul Troop about the desparity of documents not found. He is just one man doing
what he can to get as many documents from the Archives he can during each visit.
There are still a lot of documents to get. Based on what we have my estimate of total
documents may well be over 10,000. We have only approximately 1400 to 1500 of
them. I still have 1969 and 1970 to be posted soon in the near future.

Website Updates - I have made several upates on the our Website. They are:
1. Donation Button on the main index page.
2. Chat/Shout screen Button on the main page to leave a quick comment.
3. Historical Document are now accessable from the Website.
4. Saber magazine issues have been update to Jan/Feb 2010.
5. Member Information Update Button can be entered by member if he has a change
personal info like address, phone or email.
6. Reunion Picture main page changed and 2007 available Reunion pictures added.
7. Reunion Pictures for 2005, 2008 and 2009 soon to be added.
8. Historical documents for years 1969 and 1970 soon to be added.

Facebook & Guest Book - I just had a recent discussion with Jim Calibro about
Facebook. He told me there are many of or members Facebook. He commented
that it is a good way to keep in touch with many of our members. I don't have the
details of all the members who have Facebook. I will in the need future setup a list of
those in Facebook with their contact name.
We do have a Guestbook link at the bottom of the main index page of our
website. You can either leave a message or view existing messages. I just recent
view all messages left last year and this year. Below are two messages of
importance that needs to be share with the Association.

On July 7, 1968, myself and one other man were sent down ropes to aid in the
extraction of a six man LRRP team. We had one KIA and 5 severely wounded WIAs.
The 15th Med team hovered above our position for approximately 15 minutes or
longer as we loaded each one of the WIAs onto a Jungle Penetrator. They left with
them and then returned to get the KIA and us. Once again they had to hover about 15
minutes as we not only loaded the KIA but also all of the equipment before we were
extracted by them. I do not know who was on that team but I applaud them. The pilot
held that chopper still as all of this was being done. We were 70 feet down in triple
canopy. God Bless them.

I would like to add to one of the men who died when your unit was in VN. PFC Robert
L Sims of CO B died while home on leave on 8/2/68 when struck by a auto. His name
cannot be put on the WALL, however. He was from Buffalo, NY.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
PFC Robert L. Sims with be added to our Deceased List. I wish I would have
read this closer back then because I would have made it know soon after it was
posted on our Guest Book.

Email Request - I receive this email from this individual requesting any help that
we as an Associaiton can provide. If any of you members can provide any medical
infomation about our ambulances and/or medevacs please contact him. Thanks!
