Septmeber, 2009 Newsletter
Greetings 15th Med Members,

Summer is almost over.   I will be sending out the 2010 Registration Form by email.  I will
also send our Snail Mail Coordinator our Invite Paper and Registration to all those we don't
have an email for.   We have had many eamils change and I thank those members for
sending me and update when that happened.  You can also print a 2010 Registration Form
from this website.  Goto Current Reunion Info then click on the button after Registration Form
and follow instructions.

Last month I had a lot of issues with my computer.   1st my video went bad.  It was a Nvida
8800 GT.  I replace with a 8800 GTS.  The took up 2 slots instead of one.  Last went the
pump on my CPU liquid cool system.  It was difficult trying to find an exact replacement.  I
read all the reviews and only found 1 replacement.  Coolmaster no longer makes the version
I was using.  So, I decided to go with a good heat sink and fan.   I found out that due to the
liquid system being installed on my computer Xtreme Gear had to remove the Retention
Module Holder for fan cool systems.  Thus that shut me down for 5 days until the one I
ordered came.  Now I have the system up and running.   I did find out that I have one of the
hottest (heat) CPUs that AMD makes.  It is a AM2 6400+ Black Edition.  The 6000 runs way
cooler.  So much for my problems.

It came to a big surprise to me when I found out that Dan Weaver had died early during the
month of August.  He was a very likable guy and was my 2003 Vice President.   He was at
the 2009 Reunion at Myrtle Beach, NC.  We will surely miss him alone with Richard "Tiny"
Mellon.  I have put together all these picture of him from all the Reunions he attend.  Just
click on the button to view them.                     Here is the Death Notice for Dan Weaver, just
click on the button.                    Here is an email that was sent to me by our Treasurer Bob
McKinley:

Dan was a gunner I served with ,and hung out with in Nam . He recently had called me to
go to the reunion in Virginia . I came to Florida to be with my girl who is battling Cancer. I
am feeling awful at this news ,I always thought that Dan would be here for me to see him
again . Words  can. not do Dan justice ,for what he did for me in Nam . I am so saddened by
this news.

Hello Pal. This is Dr. Marco A. Endara, USA RET MSG, your Cav partner, 70-71, Song-Be,
RVN, Med BN.

I need your expert assistance. I am staying in Quito, Ecuador, while I am attempting to help
the Ecuadorian Air Force equip their choppers with medical equipment, apparatuses, and
supplies. Do you by any chance have a listing of what we used in Nam and what the Army
is using now for our MEDEVAC? I would appreciate your assistance very much.

Greetings Pal,

Marco

Marco's email address is:  <marco.endara@sbcglobal.net>    If any of our members could
assist Marco please email with any listing you might have.

I have been working on a lot of Award documents.   I am erasing all the SSNs so nobody
will have access to them from our Association or public.   It takes time and I have about 1/2 of
them done.  I will be posting them by Member's name by year then name.   I do notice that
most of the awards started from July, 68 and later.  There are a few from earliers years that I
believe I have already posted.

Well, this is all I have at the current time.  If any of you have important information to pass
on to me or our Writer Mike Bodnar to be posted, please contact us at:
